Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

Still on the hunt for that perfect foundation, this new one that I picked up at Priceline has pushed my most recently purchased Revlon ColorStay foundation to the bottom of the make-up pile.

The Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation has quite a few claims, and whether it lives up to them all or not - I'm in love.

It's a liquid formula and before you start picturing that annoying 'no pump' lid that a lot of liquid foundations have, this foundation boasts an easy pump lid. Hooray!

The foundation claims to have an anti-fatigue effect.
I did notice that my skin looked more refreshed and it has a nice radiant sheen to the finish which helps with that anti-fatigue look.

The foundation is scented, but I actually really love it. It's a pretty, fresh kind of scent. Some may disagree but there is something about it that I really enjoy.

It's staying power seems pretty good. It lasts throughout the day, even in hot weather when I'm running around at work.

I find the coverage to be quite good, and it is buildable so if you're not happy - slap on another layer!

There are plenty of goodies for the skin, including SPF15 and a peptide formula which increases elasticity in the skin.

If you're looking for a new, cheap foundation - I recommend giving this a try.

Pricline currently has it on sale for about $15 - so now is the time to grab one!

  1. Great review. I've seen this in store and have been tempted to give it a go. The orange pump kinda puts me off though. Not an orange fan lol

    1. Hahaha. Yep, it is very orange! But it kind of grows on you after awhile. xx

  2. Personally I'm very hesitant with purchasing drug store foundations as they tend to either be the wrong shade or they react with my skin. Did you have any issues similar to this with the Rimmel foundation?

    1. Jasmine,

I've only ever purchased drug store foundations as they are the most affordable choice for me :) Some brands tend to make me break out a little, but I haven't noticed any bad effects with Rimmel. My skin tone is also an easy shade match, so I don't really have a problem with finding shades within drug store brands.
