Empties come in handy!

I'm not even sure what to call this post. But it's something I want to share with you guys, as odd as some of you may find it. So, like many other people worldwide, I am a big fan of the Maybelline New York Instant Age Rewind Eye Eraser (you can read my review here)

Sadly, I recently ran out of this miracle worker (as you can see from it's overly grubby state) and as I scooped the remains from it's tube I had a slight genius idea.

Makeup remover plus empty and cleansed concealer tube = the perfect make-up remover applicator.

Once you've used up the product, give the sponge a good wash and clean. After doing your make up, if you have left over mascara marks etc, this is where it comes in handy. Apply a bit of make up remover to the sponge tip. The sponge is the perfect fit on the eyelid (or, at least on mine it is!) and within one or two swipes, all marks are totally removed from my lids.

Do you use a product any other way than what it was intended for?

  2. Good thinking :) I wonder if the sponge will be easy enough to clean when it gets covered in makeup?
